Time is money. How can you minimize the effort needed to secure a truck’s load without sacrificing safety? The answer is LOGIS-LaSi-SAFE, an anti-skid mat that is a solid, semi-trailer floor covering. For a year now, it has been employed in two of the Eberl fleet’s trucks.
“I am really satisfied; I’m never giving this flooring back,” Klaus Bauch, a long-haul driver with Eberl, said with a smile. Over this year, he was able to gain a lot of experience with the new flooring in his trailer. “Loading has definitely gotten faster. I have less work to do and I don’t have to lay out any more individual, anti-skid mats under the cargo. That process itself was sometimes dangerous,” he explained. Stephan Buchner, Fleet Manager of Eberl’s own subsidiarity, E5 Truck&Trailer, had long been looking for a solution to the best way of saving time and money in relation to cargo safety. He found what he was looking for when he came across LOGIS-LaSi-SAFE trailer flooring. He equipped two trailers with it to test the product over the course of a year. Now, we’ve met with the producer to compare notes. “Our drivers save up to 30 minutes and we save on the cost of anti-skid mats and lashing straps,” Buchner said, summarizing the advantages. The durability was also convincing: With the exception of some small scratches, the flooring in both trucks is in perfect order. “Naturally, you have to pay a little attention,” Bauch added, “but that’s not a problem.” He is convinced that the flooring will live up to its expectations for some years to come. LOGIS-LaSi-SAFE was developed by the Logis AG. The flooring is tested according to the VDI guideline 2700, page 14; the required 80 percent of the cargo weight to be secured towards the front is also greatly exceeded without anti-skid mats.
