Eberl supports the St. Josef Children’s Home in Traunstein
1000 Christmas cards with his drawing will be sent out around the whole world – that was the best present for the eleven-year-old Michi. Naturally, that along with his gift certificate for a fast food chain. In the run-up to Christmas this year, Spedition Eberl started a small charity event for the children living at the St. Josef Children’s Home. For this event, the children were asked to design a Christmas card. What’s more fun than a little art competition?
Ten children from the home’s residential group took part. First place was clearly Michi’s picture of Santa Claus – although it really wasn’t that easy to choose a winner from among the young artists’ imaginative designs! Second place was awarded to 15-year-old Paulina, while a nine-year-old, another Michi, took third. Of course, all of the other participants in the art competition also received small consolation prizes in the form of fast food gift certificates. The Christmas card with Michi’s Santa Claus will now be sent to our customers around the whole world. This year, we decided to give the gift of joy – for the children and youths living in the residential group of the children’s home. Since Christmas is a very special celebration, the money donated won’t just go to cover the home’s normal, everyday expenses. Since money is already tight for the home, the donation will be designated for special things – like a day trip together, a vacation or financing their free-time activities. “This is where we would like to help,” said Managing Director, Thomas Eberl. As a member of the Traunstein Rotary Club, he rounded up more support for the charity event – the Rotary Club had a chocolate Advent calendar designed and it will be sold to raise money for the children’s home.
